Groundworks

The groundworks were completed over a period of 1 week. We had to cut back into the slope of the site from the front of the proposed footprint of the house. Planning conditions meant we had to re-use as much soil as possible from the excavations and we did this by creating a level platform in front of the house to accommodate a turning circle on the driveway. The drive was created with 20cm of compacted hardcore to ease access for the trucks during the building phase.
